Josh at the Arcade/Santa Cruz/Longboard Competition
We went to Santa Cruz this weekend - Josh went to the arcade for the first time and there was a longboard competition.

It's May
Lots have happened since the last update.... Wow.
The wife and I have been super busy. So much for California being a peaceful paradise! Without further hesitation, let me begin.. "ahem"
The Defense Language Institute's contract with L-3 was coming to a close a few months ago, so I began looking for other positions since we didn't know whether or not I would have a job come May. Anyhow, I applied for 4 positions and was offered all 4 jobs ! I ended up accepting a job with the Emergency Medical Services group providing IT support to Monterey, Santa Cruz and San Benito (Hollister) counties. Yep, it's just me supporting 3 counties, but so far so good. It keeps me busy and it's a pretty rewarding job so far. Not only that, but it gets me up to Santa Cruz for some good surf every couple weeks. I've found some pretty good eatin' around the state as well. The best part... my regular commute is 3 miles !
The wifey is still teaching college level criminal justice and loves it. She's gone two nights a week and always has stories to tell. Her new found passion is coupon clipping. I know - strange.. I stay out of it - but, she's HALVED our grocery bill. It's amazing. We have so much extra of everything, but our bills are half as much. What a wife I tell ya. She's also been extremely considerate and let me play golf with Willi the past two weekends.
Joshua and Abbie are awesome. Joshua is running around like a maniac on caffeine (yes, he likes coffee) and Abbie is an eating machine. It's amazing. I bet these kids consume more calories pound for pound than Tiff and I do together on a daily basis - and the kids are twigs. Joshua now keeps me company every morning at 6am. I pour coffee (he gets chocolate milk) and we watch about 30 minutes of Shrek, or Alvin/Chipmunks or Elmo, until Mom gets up. Abbie's up at about 7:30am.
While I'm at it (who knows when we'll update this again), we've finally perfected our pizza recipe. It's taken roughly 2 years and input from 1) Me, 2) Tiffany 3) An Executive Chef 4) A pizza shop owner from Jersey who lives in California. Fresh mozzarella, Italian tomatoes w/ fresh basil and Tiff's super dough (plus a few other ingredients I will omit) and wallah.. Enjoy the pics below. It's delicious, light, and oh so amazing.
Tiffany and I are getting baptized in several weeks and just became members of our church. We'll post a date as it gets closer, but it's something that we are pretty darn excited about. Even though baptism is strictly symbolic, it's all throughout the Bible and we can't think of a reason not too :) We are amazed by our God - and thankful for the sacrifice of His Son Jesus Christ. We would love for you to attend, so please feel free to come when we know the date !
